Clinically Tested Products and Technologies Pedometer WarrantyDear Customer, Please keep this letter as a proof of warranty. Since Yamax makes the best pedometer on the market, the vast majority of our users get many years of usage from their pedometer. Yamax only offers a one year warranty on the internal components of their pedometers; since these quality products have proven so reliable, Optimal Health Products is extending this warranty on the internal components to two full years. This does not include any damage due to dropping, crushing, immersion in water, breakage of the clip, or failure of the battery. While the batteries of many of our competitors last only a year, the Yamax battery normally lasts 2-3 years. We do offer repair services. There have been times when individuals have broken a clip or fractured the LCD panel. Our repair service replaces a broken clip, or a broken LCD crystal, or lost hinge pins for only $5.00 plus shipping. Ship to us using a bubble or padded envelope or other protective packaging. When it is time to replace your battery (Toshiba LR-44), you will be able to find them at many electronic stores [Radio Shack, Circuit City, Target. Walmart, etc.] If there is no display or the display will not change, try to reset the pedometer. This is accomplished by simultaneously holding down all buttons for six seconds and releasing. If you drop the unit in water, open it by inserting a coin in the slot at the bottom, between the hinges. Take out the battery, dry it and the inside components, reinstall the battery the next day and use the above reset method if there is no display or the numbers are unchanging.
